BBCS was founded in 1984 as an educational ministry of the non-profit William Dauch Foundation. Before her death, Lima native Gladys Dauch created an endowment for the support of missions and Christian schools. Her vision was that local believing children would be able receive an education in a godly school, a haven from harmful influences. In 2005, Tom Brown led an expansion of the facility, doubling the number of classrooms. In 2025, BBCS received its initial state charter and became a chartered nonpublic school.
Through labors of seven full-time teachers, and additional part-time staff and many volunteers, BBCS now serves over 40 families and 81 students.
Forty years since its founding, the need for a school with the mission and vision of BBCS has only grown. BBCS needs your support! Find out how you can help, and how the State of Ohio provides full reimbursement of a donation in the form of a tax credit!
